So I'm gonna be asking Peter some questions, and he will be answering the best he can and I am gonna get involved into all this. Also it's not just me asking questions, I am an Ordained Minister and my good friend Peter knows the Bible inside out. We love to do debates every once in a while and this is one where you guys will be able to see what goes on around all this, sounds good? Sounds good. All right, here's my first question of the day why God is God? Peter Hiebert 1:00 Well at it doesn't appear as though we have any advice on the matter. He got there first. And if anybody was in second place, we would have known about this long ago. Claude Leonard 1:14 Okay, so everything that happened in the Old Testament where they had all these gods all over the place, and the only one was actually doing something it was, The God? Peter Hiebert 1:29 Correct? Claude Leonard 1:29 Okay. All right. Peter Hiebert 1:32 The only other one is he was saved for the other gods is if anything, dark forces could be behind them and mislead the people. Claude Leonard 1:42 Okay, Peter Hiebert 1:42 In that sense, there are other gods but we're now we're starting to talk about the gods of this world. Claude Leonard 1:48 Yes. Okay. When you're saying god of this world, are we referring to the the bad dude, I think the one know Satan, devil with a capital D, capital D. Okay. Well, I don't want to give them a superiority complex with a capital D, but small d small d? Yeah. Just like a small g Right. Okay. All right. Why are we so, why most people on this planet, it doesn't matter who we are. Some of us just have an affinity to either, get in trouble. Search for trouble. Love to sin period. Peter Hiebert 2:33 Well, Job had a bit of a handle on it. He said, man is born to trouble as the sparks fly upward. And so it's it's a real effort to avoid problems or getting into all kinds of devilment. We just have a natural bent in the wrong direction. Claude Leonard 2:56 Okay. Peter Hiebert 2:57 Thanks for all nature. Unknown Speaker 3:03 And what about the others? Today? Any other one? I had the same problem. Oh, he was kind of the big guy with all the problems? Peter Hiebert 3:14 I'm not quite sure Claude Leonard 3:16 where I'm going with this. Peter Hiebert 3:17 No, Claude Leonard 3:18 Okay. because like David. He was a king. Oh, yeah. And he went and got this girl he was not supposed to. And he killed her husband too. And God still loved him. Peter Hiebert 3:29 Right? Yeah. Yeah, it was a drastic deviation in his life. But, but he repented and recovered. And, and God took care of it. And so he made it. For the vast majority of people. They are on what's called the broad road. And that's where all the negative action is. Claude Leonard 3:53 Okay. Do you think that, um, let me rephrase this. God told the devil, yeah, go ahead. Go down there and make him turn. And I'll tell you right now he won't. He will stay firm onto his feet. And this was job, wasn't it? Peter Hiebert 4:26 Yep. Claude Leonard 4:27 And Job, during this 30, maybe 40 years of pain that he went through. Everybody was slashing at him, screaming at him telling him they did something bad to God, and that was God was doing and then after this 30 - 40 years, God said to Satan, that's enough. You've done your thing, nothing works and you could see that he is with me. And then God rewarding twice as much than what he had before that. Peter Hiebert 5:00 Right Claude Leonard 5:00 For keeping on his focus on him. Does God do you think a God still does somewhat the same thing today? Or the devil just have free reign on this planet? To a certain point, for now until tribulation comes around? Peter Hiebert 5:19 Well, it seems more like he's, he's picking on everybody at the same time instead of singling one person out, Claude Leonard 5:27 okay, Peter Hiebert 5:27 even though there are a lot of people who feel as though they have been singled out for enemy's attention. Claude Leonard 5:36 And just to clarify your answer, we're talking about Christian or non Christian, it doesn't matter who he's gonna go after them. Peter Hiebert 5:43 Right? Yeah. Claude Leonard 5:43 But he has a tendency to be stronger with the Christians because he doesn't want these people to go to Heaven. Peter Hiebert 5:50 Right, Yeah. But it's always important to remember, the devil has no manners, no whatever. He just, if he can make headway one way or the other. He'll do it. Because to thwart God's, God's purposes. Claude Leonard 6:07 Okay, and does God really give us a choice in our life? Or is there a thing already pre made by God, that's why he knows the beginning and the end, because everything is just on a loop. Peter Hiebert 6:38 Well, on the one hand, the word of God says that he's not willing that any should perish. On the other hand, we, we have our freewill. So, if we want to respond, we may and along with this thing about responding, we need to remember that nobody comes to God except if the Spirit of God draws him. And, and some would think well as sort of a fatalistic view. But on the other hand, remember, God's foreknowledge always plays into all this. And so he knows who would really like to come. And I believe for those that really want to come. He, He gives him the best possible opportunity to opens the door for them that they want to come, they can, Claude Leonard 7:35 okay. Is it possible that if someone is on the street, and he's talking to one person, and someone is passing by, who really does want to know nothing about God, and then he just turns around and you start listening to a conversation, and he's the one who comes to God, even though God has nothing to do because we influence the person, God will accept them into his house, His own? Peter Hiebert 8:05 Yeah, well, I'm thinking of two fellas, I know them personally. Claude Leonard 8:08 Okay. Peter Hiebert 8:10 One fella, he really wants to meet up with God. So he went to see a person, certain person who I know and this other fella tagged along. Okay, so, person number one was really interested in all mixes moves to come to God. And when that is all done, the other person says, Can I do that too? Well, sure, the counselor says you can do that too. Well, well, so who came on ahead? The person who tagged along he's been a lifelong ministry. And the other one is more like a zero. Okay. So interesting, so much for, for prejudging what happened, Claude Leonard 8:58 and that is obviously a perfect way to show what freedom of choice is Yeah. Because no, and then proof, he is in. Peter Hiebert 9:08 Not not saying that inquiry number one, is lost. He may have just backed off. And then the end of life, you may confess to God, look, I've just blown it royally. And I just like to sort of be reinstated in your fellowship, right? And, you know, not necessarily having gone off the deep end entirely. But, but fortunately, we don't have to judge that. On that we return to Peter and Claude. So my next question is about seeing God. So where on earth we don't see him? And what we seen of Him is in the videos and movies, they Hollywood wouldn't movies or a small one, movie about the devil and everything goes all over the place. Why is it that we are attracted to all of that? Is it only because we could see it, but because we don't see God and we don't see the devil, the belief is not there until we're really get knocked out out of our chair? Peter Hiebert 11:35 Well, in life, we live day to day, it's all hands on. We, we don't walk by faith, we all we hope, a little bit of luck and stuff like that. But other than that we see and we hear and we smell and touch and feel and, and that then there's nothing the matter with that. But then we we take that whole way of handling life, and, and shifted over to the spiritual. And that doesn't work anymore. Because there we already see with our eyes, our spiritual understanding. And we only we hear God through His Word. And, and we we can feel his presence. But that's that's a spiritual matter. So and in fact, it even goes so far as It even includes the smelling. It says a question to the world is up is an aroma of Christ. Right? And, and they can accept it or not. That's how we are known. So but seeing God. Jesus said, you know, Thomas, he was he was a doubting guy. You know, you have you've seen me and you believe but Jesus said, blessed are those who have not seen me and believe. So that means we are observing God with the eye of faith. So we do see, but not with the physical eye. Claude Leonard 13:18 Right? This spiritual side, because the Bible is all about spirituality, right? If someone says, I know spiritual, and they know nothing about the Bible, it's not the right spiritual, Peter Hiebert 13:31 no can be the wrong spiritual, yes. Because when you get to people who are interested in following the powers of darkness, they are spiritual in their own way. Yes, but no benefit to the soul. Claude Leonard 13:44 No, no, no, they even Jesus mentioned about, be careful some will come in my name, right and pretend to be, but there will deviate you from the truth. Peter Hiebert 13:57 Right, Claude Leonard 13:58 then you have to be careful with that. What's going on around the world right now, with Israel, and China, and Russia, and the US, and all these countries about to declare war? Even though the stress is so high with everybody, Can people still come to God? Peter Hiebert 14:31 Well, I believe the scriptures makes it clear that till the time that you up to the time that you lose consciousness and close your eyes and death, you're still a candidate for salvation. You can it's as long suffering. One notable exception could be people who have done this way back in their life long before they died. They already told God, look, you get out of my life. And I'm done. I'm going my own way. And as they come to the end of life, there is there is no recourse for them. They have, they have made their choice, they have made their choice, and God honor their choice. And because I'm here again, we're talking freewill. And God enables us to respond. But when we reject his advances, then okay, you're free to go your own way. Yep, we are might say about reprobate mind. Claude Leonard 15:44 But if we die, and we have not come to Jesus, because only through Jesus, can we go to God, the Father and go to heaven, then not only do we die to self, but we are dead as in not dead as in you just poof, out. But your death is going to Hades also known as hell, and you want to be with away from God, that's where you're going? Because there's only two places we can go. Yeah, it's either there or with God, yeah, with Him or without Him. Peter Hiebert 16:18 So you might say, and when we are in the final place, for punishment for disobedient people, is as sort of a you may say, I call it a living death. You know, which you will, well, you're, you're up to a point of death, but you never will. You are just suffering. Unknown Speaker 16:44 Wow. So you hear it all? You got a lot of question. Put then the common, and then we'll look at all of them. And if you put a question mark, for a question, we'll do our best to incorporate those question on our next video. Yes, there'll be more. And so for now, we like to say thank you. And before you go, if you feel right now that you feel guided to come to God, to avoid the Tribulation, and to be in evidence, then or before you die, to go to heaven, instead of going to the other place away from God, then repeat these words, and then make it your own. And this is our goes. Claude Leonard 17:29 Lord Jesus, I come to you today to repent of all my sins. I confess that I was a bad person, and I would like to be better. I would like to follow you. And I believe in you. I believe that you are the Son of God. I believe that you will cleanse my heart. And you will show me a new path. And and you will send the Holy Spirit into me, like you said in the Bible. I pray all this in your name. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen. Amen. And like I said that prayer, you could do it, the way you feel that comes from your heart, but it has to come from your heart and your soul and your strength, you have to really mean it. Don't just say the words and thinking you're saved. Because if you just do this, it's like a seed that was planted with rocks is not going anywhere. The bird of the air will come and just pick up the seed and just go, right, right. So you need your seed to be in good soil for it to bloom. And that's what we want you to do. There is only one way for the Holy Spirit to dwell in you, and there is only one way to get to heaven. That is by accepting Jesus. First, you need to believe in Jesus. Next, you ask Jesus that you want to repent and start anew. Ask Jesus to cleanse all your sins. Reading the words is one thing. Your intention comes from the word through your heart and soul. Passages from the bible: Romans 3:10-23, Romans 5:12, Romans 5:8, Romans 6:23, Romans 10:13, Revelation 3:20, Romans 10:17, Matthew 10:32-33 This passage will make your covenant truly part of Jesus: 1 Peter 1:16-25 16 for it is written, "You shall be holy, because I am holy." 17 And if you address as Father the one who impartially judges according to each one's work, live out the time of your temporary residence here in reverence. 18 You know that from your empty way of life inherited from your ancestors you were ransomed not by perishable things like silver or gold, 19 but by precious blood like that of an unblemished and spotless lamb, namely Christ. 20 He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was manifested in these last times for your sake. 21 Through him you now trust in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. 22 You have purified your souls by obeying the truth in order to show sincere mutual love. So love one another earnestly from a pure heart. 23 You have been born anew, not from perishable but from imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God. 24 For all flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of the grass; the grass withers and the flower falls off, 25 but the word of the Lord endures forever. And this is the word that was proclaimed to you. Warning to everyone: Therefore, Whosoever shall confess Me before men, him will I also confess before my Father which is in Heaven. But whosoever shall deny Me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in Heaven. The path: As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Wherefore, as by one men sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. But God demonstrated His love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. For the wages, if sin is death; but the gift of God shall call upon the name of the Lord. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart, men believe unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. Behold I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hears my voice, and open the door, I will come into him and will eat with him, and he with me. So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. The Salvation prayer: I accept you Lord Jesus as my saviour. I confess that You, Jesus Christ, in my life. I believe You have been risen from the dead. I repent and turn from my wicked ways. You shed Your blood on the cross for my sins. I have been a sinner, and I recognize I can't save myself. Lord Jesus, I trust in you right now to save me from all hellfire and, above all, take me into your Heavenly Kingdom. Thank you for my salvation, Lord. I want the best I can have from You, in your precious name, Amen. What should you do now? If you like your church stay there but if you feel like you need to move then follow the Holy Spirit. Find a church that you will feel comfortable. Read the bible every day. You can start with the new testament. You can read one verse a day or a chapter, it is up to you but read the bible.
